Right Direction are a group of committed volunteers who are passionate about quality and have a track record of running successful and inspiring events which theme excellence and with the key objective of inspiring tourism operators at all levels.

1.       To create a sign posting facility affording a joined up and linked approach to other quality initiatives. 

2.       To create a culture whereby business mentor support can be provided from the skills and experience which already exists.

3.       To become a central point for the collation of best practices and provide a medium for these to be shared with others

About Reach For The Stars

The bed and breakfast sector of accommodation providers is unique and accounts of 40% (approx) of all bed nights in the Highlands. Right Direction are organising a conference, which will be tailored to the needs of this sector.

The aim is to create a plan to enable operators to tap in to improvement opportunities at every level. This will largely be achieved through sharing best practice and having industry speakers who are exemplars. We are keen to attract an audience who would not normally attend business development events and aim to do this by keeping the delegate cost at a reasonable level.

The workshops will cover four main topic areas:

  • Technology
  • Legislation
  • Breakfast food and menus
  • Service Excellence

We are also creating a documented 101 tips for running and Excellent Bed and Breakfast from the event, which will be used afterwards on the web-site www.tourism-excellence-scotland.co.uk

We believe that no event such as this one has ever been staged before in Scotland are we are delighted to be leading the way in supporting the bed and breakfast operators in our area.
